Transform

We have to transform the data to get the total of each scale and be able to run further statistical analysis.

 STEP 1

• On the menu bar, select Transform --> Compute Variable.
• A pop-up window will appear after the selection.
  

STEP 2

• Total up the scores of each scale/questionnaire by filling in the scores of each item into the "Numeric Expression" box.
• DO NOT forget to insert a new variable on the "Target Variable" box.
• Click "OK". 

 

Below is the example of my transformation. 

As I have 2 scales, I need to run the transformation twice.
